Slow Chrome
Lowen Rae
Eight songs recorded over one long winter in a borrowed house by the water. Slow Chrome is about the shine that only shows up after things get scratched: late drives, cheap motels, the hum of a fridge at 4am, and the people who stayed.

Lyrics
Slow Chrome
Left the engine running on the pier
Watched the water turn to steel
You said nothing shines like something
That has been through the wheel
Night Drive
We drove until the city turned to static
And the static turned to chrome
Every exit was a promise
Every promise led us home
Halogen
Halogen in the kitchen, halogen in your eyes
A cheap light for an expensive kind of quiet
I keep the receipt, I keep the tie
I keep the silence, I keep it lit
Blue Static
Blue static on the radio, blue static in my chest
The signal keeps on breaking but I like the noise the best
Cobalt
Cobalt evening, paper moon
You came late and left too soon
I kept the door on the latch
For a light I could not catch
Mirrorball
Under the mirrorball we were a thousand little versions
Of the same two people trying to get it right
Afterglow
When the lights come up we will still be here
Rinsed in afterglow, nothing left to fear
